The pump cycles on every few minutes and after a while, the carpet at the base of the steps is damp. Eventually the carpet in the cubby under the stairs is damp and the carpet adjacent to it. The wet carpet only occurs when the pump is on and there is not a lot of water.

Is there easy access to the T-fittings for the head and shower?

Are you sure that it not occuring after a rain storm? We had a similar 'wet spot' with the culprit being that rain was coming in through through porthole in the head. The water was running down the counter and into the cabinet below the sink. It would than saturate the carpet and soak out into the companion way.

Or if you follow the same logic, the faucet in the head could have a leak as well.

The T-connectors are all being replaced in my boat (slowly). The seem to be failing slowly from end end to the other. I have SeaRays fresh water diagram for my 450 and I keeping track of the ones that have been replaced. Just this past weekend, I found another one in the engine compartment tucked up in the far aft port corner behind the glendinning cable master (what a pain in the a**). Whenever I have a slow drip the fresh water pump cycles every 15-30 minutes depending in the rate of drip..... Good Luck

I don't think it is rainwater-I fixed that problem this past winter. I have a feeling it is one of the T connectors and was hoping someone had solved the access problem to these fittings.

Bill Collector- Where did you get the new fittings?

Funny thing about water - could be coming from anywhere. Just had the same issue, carpets wet in front of aft head, and water pump running periodically. After pulling boat apart, leak was at forward shower connection to faucet, and water was running down behind the galley and leaking out by a track in the aft to the carpet. So I would check all connections at all faucets / head.

I just did all that. It was a lot of work taking the boat apart. What I think I discovered is this, the pump is cycling on because the filter is cracked and the pump is sucking air. The water is leaking in via the head porthole window gasket and the water fill thru hull. I am looking else where for other culprits.
