Weather looks awesome this weekend - can't wait to go swimming

Anyone taking their Sea Ray out this weekend?

We're going to head up the bay and most likely check out Fairlee Creek.

My boat is sitting in a gravel parking lot on blocks.

Waxing your shaft again?
My Twins are turning 6 today, Weather sucks, so we'll have a party on Sat afternoon for the Family then maybe take the in-laws (from SoCal) for a Sunday cruise

We are suppose to have great weather and are planning on heading to Wylie, hopefully we will some of the Lake Wylie crew out there.

Ya'll have fun this weekend while I slave away. In two weeks it is Charleston to Hilton Head with pictures. No not the bare kind Turtle.

What are you having done to your boat Gary? Little boats get their own trailer, not impersonal blocks and jack stands.

94 on Saturday and 98 on Sunday in Nashville. Surface water temp is right at 80 degrees. I'll be out both days for some sun and fun!! (not to mention a few barley pops):smt038

My waters are not boat friendly this weekend:smt013 Ohio river is a mess 20 feet above pool stage.. trees floating bogger than my boat..:smt021 but, that's river boating. 15 short years and I'm retired to friendlier waters:thumbsup:

I am doing the final home improvement honey dos this weekend before what I hope is a really good 10 days on the bay 14-23 June. Apparently if I do not spread and appropriately compact 600 Lbs of polymeric sand on our paver patio the world will end, weeds will grow in the cracks between the pavers, and blah, blah, blah.

I plan to burn through a lot of 4-5 dollar per gallon diesel starting on the 14th, run some salt water through the mains, make our way to BiH, then check out the ER in Stan's new 48DA, and Gary's AV upgrades. I think a few more hours aboard Four Suns and my wife will be sold on the bigger boat thing..and with B-Rock Hussein Al-Obama promising to get diesel back to two bucks a gallon, man, I am in there.

Along the way to BiH my wife will get a couple spa treatments, we will eat a bunch of crab cakes, and the boys and I will catch some fish. I intend to forget completely about work, accidentally drop the corporate BlackBerry overboard (or let Gary's dogs eat it) and have a grand old time.

I am hopeful that no ragboters hit me, and that the weather is good. I hope to not have to hammer home a wooden bung or deploy the liferaft and ditch bag in an emergency.

Above all I hope that in fifteen years my boys remember what a great time they had on the Bay in the summer of '08 on the old man's Sea Ray.

I boat, therefore, I am.

regards
Skip

I know you guys have a huge thread going , but for us left coasters what is BIH?

Hey,

BIH in Baltimore Inner Harbor. I'm new here, but I've seen the info about an organized trip there with more than 30 boaters from this board. Sounds pretty cool. Got to get my bilge pump going before then but I'm hoping to join them.

Bottom job... new boot stripes... grounding plate for my SSB radio (oh wait... I haven't got that yet from JIM even though I paid him a FORTUNE for overnight delivery)... strip the swim platform mechanicals and trying a new paint this year...

Got a late start due to the foot:

Damn... that looks so good now I could be a foot model.

Leaving for the boat right after work today. Weather isn't supposed to be the best tonight and in the morning but I have a few things to do at the dock anyway. River is going to be above flood stage again this weekend so depending on the amount of debrit floating downstream this weekend will determine how much actual run time we will have. But, from the reports I've heard so far today, looks like it's gonna be a dock party type weekend for us.

Looks pretty good actually Gary, how's it feeling?

Headed out both Saturday and Sunday....Supposed to be in the 90's for a couple days straight up here. Already hitting our season high temps compared to last year.

After seeing Todd's Sumo Tube video I got the itch to do some tubin'....

Gary what kinda surgery did you have? Thats a gnarley scar

It's getting there. I have to fight the swelling all the time (which leads to pain). I have to wear a support hose on my left foot... how girly... That picture looks bad because I had just taken a couple of ace bandages off that kept it squeezed down.

Wife is out of town with Mini-me visiting the in-laws...

Couple of Canadian friends coming to town....

Burning tons of the $4/gal gas & lots of cold beer and red meat on the gril!! Many slabs of ribs marinating right now..

Should be the perfect MAN-Weekend

All I see on the forecast is rain, rain, and oh yeah, more rain...but at least it will be over 70. Hopefully summer will bring on the heat and the sun! Only one night on the boat this weekend, and will probably not burn much gas.
