I was out working in the yard and had to come in for sun screen and a cold drink! 81 degrees on my thermometer on the deck! It was like 35 here last week. Let's hope us here in the northeast aren't on our boats wearing jackets on the fourth of july, thinking about the weather we had in early April!
All of you who already have your boats in the drink, hope you get to enjoy the day....oh well, back to taking down the deer fences:smt021

Must be a vote coming up on "global warming" and they needed to make their case! Its been warmer here in Chicago that it was for any week last June!

Yesterday it reached 31C (88F) at the marina, "up north" in Penetanguishene, Ontario. Here's a photo of the temperature reading in the car as we were driving away mid-afternoon.

29C (84F) which was nicer than any single day that we had in July of 2009!

Yeah, what's up with the temps, 83 here in VT! I was skiing all morning, 73 on the mtn! I've never been so hot skiing! (last weekend for sure, it was like they had a hair dryer blowing at the snow, it was melting so fast!) Last July 4th, we had sweatshirts and long pants on around the campfire!

Btw, S5 - Nice Car... I just wished they'd put a real sunroof in it.

Mark, I spent 4 hours running the dinghy to break in the engine today. Felt like 85 on the river. The water is warming up quickly. I spoke with our marina manager today, he is hoping to have everything in by April 17th. That will be the earliest opening here in many years...

Thats Great news! There is a rumor here that our marina may open May 1st if they can get the security staff and fuel dock attendants to start a few weeks early. Guess I will have to start thinking about taking the wrapper off!

Hi Mark, it sure has been a nice few days around here. I have heard reports that we may be in for a sunny and warmer summer than we had last year. Although I think anything will be a improvement over last summers rain :(. Enjoy!!!

Yep the weather sure is nice, we are having 22 people over for dinner tomorrow (Sunday) and I can remember having to plow snow a few years back on this weekend. I was thinking on cutting the grass today. I worked in the garage most of the day, I had to plug the beer fridge in because it is so warm.
I can't complain about last summers weather, I spent 6 weeks in the North Channel and we only had about 3 days of rain. When I first arrived in Killarney the lawns were burnt from the sun. Back home in central Ontario was another story.

I think it's the end of the world. You guys are in the 80's and here in Northern California we are only in the 50's. Temp right now is 46.

Here's my marina less than a month ago (March 6th):

Here's my marina on Good Friday (April 2nd):

This is about the earliest that the ice has ever disappeared around Penetang. They'd be launching boats next week, but for the fact that they're installing a new travellift that doesn't arrive until the 12th. As a consequence, they're planning to start launching in the week of April 19th.

BTW - Don't know about the sunroof issue on the S5 - mines a convertible.
