Windlass how much line?

I have a 1989 340SD and it had the windlass that came with it I believe. I don't see a name on it but it does have 5/8 line.
The ? is how much line will it take? 250? 300? And how do you reline it?

The amount of rode you can carry is limited to the depth of the rode locker.
The windlass itself has nothing to do with capacity.
