I removed a (pantographic) wiper arm from the boat after the driven end flew off while cruising up the river. After looking at it, I'm not quite sure how the hex head set screws are too hold the arm on. :smt021 I want to replace it but am unsure if I need to replace the motor as well as the arm. with the arm off there is a splined shaft exposed. I think I should be able to attach another arm to it but can't find any real documentation. Any help :smt100 would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks.

Almost lost mine as well. Just the arm is OK. The set screws are just to apply pressure to the spline. I have to tighten mine about once a month. I am reluctant to use lock tight on the allen screws.

With the arm off, I can't see how the setscrews apply pressure to the splined shaft the arm attaches to. With the arm removed it looks like there is a metal cup in the hole the splined shaft goes in (which I apparently can not remove). Do the set screws deform this cup to grab the shaft?
