Hi
I've had a 21ft 215 docked on the mystic river (fresh/brackish water). The 215 had an alpha drive. We usually go out through the harbor on weekends (salt water). I've always use zinc anodes and I haven't needed to replace them in 3 years. There's no damage to the drive either.
I just got a 280DA with bravo 3's. I'll be docking it on the river as well but I'll be in salt on weekends. Should I contuine to use zinc anodes? I've read that the stainless steel props on the bravo 3 somehow reacts differently than an aluminum prop in water where it attracts electrolysis.
What do others use In a mixed use environment?
