Thats great!!!! Next year the extended fling will be 12 days in the Exumas. Hope to see you there in YOUR boat.Just returned from 2 weeks in the Bahamas. Flew into Georgetown in The Exumas and motor/sailed my friends Cat through the Exumas, Chubb Cay, Bimini and finally Delray Beach. The Exumas were amazing! The hole trip was amazing. Can’t wait to go back on my Sea Ray!

Just got back from Abacos so going to be a couple of years before I go back there. Next year is Exumas for our long trip. This year I will probably head back over to Bimini at least one more trip probably just after Labor day as it was great last year as we were literally the only ones there, really enjoyed the peaceful island that way... Might also make a run to the Keys for an extended weekend.Any other trips planned this year? Abacos?
Look forward to next year’s Exuma’s trip on my boat!

Exumas will be a Bahamas Boating Fling and will be around July 7 next year and will be a 10-12 day fling. Yes if I go to the Keys it will be the upper ones. I tend to always chicken out on the Keys and end up just going to Bimini as I prefer the water beaches over there.
Alex where are you located? Send me a PM with your contact info and I will add you to my email list that I use when we plan trips. Like I said probably Bimini the weekend after Labor day is the next trip and I probably have 4-5 boats looking to go on that trip right now. - GrantI'll make a note of the date. Bahamas Boating Fling sounds exciting.
Are you guys planning any local rendezvous in the near future?
Heck yea... I am starting to plan for next year. Have a meeting in the next few weeks with government to set up sponsor marinasGrant - let's talk before you get too far on the Exumas trip - As you know we got back several weeks ago; I'll give you the blow by blow, the highlights and some recommendations for anchorages.View attachment 132176 View attachment 132177 View attachment 132178 View attachment 132179
Billed my first blue on water like this, just off Bimini. Jumped a grander the next day that nobody wanted to fight. Spooled us in 30 seconds. It was so flat that pontoon boats from Miami were tied up at the Big Game club. Not sure how they got home, but it was just as flat coming back for us. That was the ONLY time in 20+ years of crossings.Well, looking at the beach & inlet cams last Friday and then seeing the forecast, decided to make a quick run over to Bimini. (Especially since I spent the previous Sunday bottom cleaning!) Stayed at Fisherman's village, did some diving, and ate Edith's pizza with a few Kaliks. Great weather and about as flat through the straights that you could ever ask.
I'm game for a SoFla CSR meetup sometime. I hang in Lake Boca mostly, but happy to cruise south.

Grant, please let me know when you are heading over after labor day, I would like to join you if possible. JeffHeck yea... I am starting to plan for next year. Have a meeting in the next few weeks with government to set up sponsor marinas
I'm in FTL/Miami area.
While planning big trips for next year, why don't we take the opportunity and get together locally. We have several anchorages to hold a raft of any size. Let's pick a date and a place.
Vince, it doesn't get any better than that. I only caught it once being that flat going across. It was amazing seeing that crisp navy water being disturb by waves generated by my boat than the movement of the ocean.
Great pics, Tom. That iguana looks enormous.
Will do still trying to plan my late summer and fall eventsGrant, please let me know when you are heading over after labor day, I would like to join you if possible. Jeff
