So let's hear about and see your cars.

I’ve tried to post in this thread 3 times from my droid, and every time I view the post the pics are gone. So now I’m trying from my ipad

We’re definitely not super fancy, but I love my 2019 F150 SCREW/6.5’ 302a FX4 MaxTow. It was my 31st birthday gift to myself and my first ever new vehicle, and first vehicle I ever had newer than 10 years old.

The 2020 Edge ST 402a was her “wedding gift” (her 2004 Monte Carlo SS supercharged she bought new quit a week before the wedding)

My truck is slightly modified and tuned and a little faster, but the edge is a blast to drive! Both paid off and I intend to keep for at least 10 more years

Honorable mention for the 04 ‘Duty and Monte they replaced. Miss that pup too!

I may be in the market for an ‘88-‘91 MJ Jeep Comanche like I drove in high school for a restomod project

I have the '18 Ecoboost Mustang for fun driving, but I think I've about quit the car resto scene. Motorcycles are a lot simpler and cheaper to restore than cars, and you can get more of them into a garage space!

While you might think the 90 would be pretty boring to ride (it is), the Norton 850 in the background is always ready and willing for a quick blast down the highway.

I was Ford blue for many years. I always had a Ford something in the garage. My last Explorer and F150 Powerboost soured me a lot. They are building trucks that the dealers don't know how to fix. I'm all GM right now with a GMC 1500 Sierra Denali Ultimate and a Camaro ZL1 convertible (that only has 500 miles after a year). I'm thinking I'll swap the Camaro for a Cadillac CT5-V when the refreshed 2025 comes out. I like the new dash/interior with not much change to the exterior which I already like.

I’ve never had any issues other than something minor here and there. I did have the phasers replaced on the F150 and I need to get the forward camera replaced on the Edge. Looks like a stone got it

The superduty was pretty reliable right up to the end but the rust was getting bad. Her Monte Carlo rusted apart and just wasn’t worth fixing when the transmission went. Road salt is the devil

Curious…..road salt in SWFL?

I moved here from the socialist republic of New Jersczystan in 2021
Gotja contemplating a move myself to get the hell out of Illinois. No more cash bond in Illinois beginning this past week. It’s going to get uglier soon. Sorry for derailing thread…..

That’s what I am looking for. A driver not a garage queen. Thanks. I’m getting a sense for what they are worth in various stages of restoration. This one is a bit high for what it is I think. But the market is what it is.
I think you're going to be $50,000+ for a nice driver that's not a #'s matching SS with a build sheet.

Personally, I would look for a 1970 Chevelle Malibu restomod with LS powertrain with an aftermarket chassis. Of course that could be close to 6 figures for a nice driver, not a show car.

Yeah looks that way. They come up now and then. That one I linked earlier looks pretty good now. The ask is $80k Canadian which is $60k us. It’s looking more reasonable. I think I’ll go take a look at it.
Here’s the link again.

I got a couple of messages asking about the progress of the 70 Plymouth Cuda. So, I thought I share that we got the front suspension complete and ready for power coating, the fender liners welded, and engine mocked up and in place ready for the exhaust piping to the turbo's. The front fenders are at our local restoration shop; they are raising the opening up about an inch for wheel and tire clearance. A couple of pictures -

That's going to be spectacular!!

Are you doing most the work yourself? How long has the project been underway and when do you think it'll be completed?

And keep posting progress pics please....

Funny store, New Port Richey posted an event for an electric car show and had a picture of a bunch of Teslas lined up with their hoods open???!!! uh....why?

The comment section was humorous and sometimes brutal.

I'm building chassis, suspension, turbo work, EFI, and assembly. Body work will be done elsewhere. I had Roush build the engine - all aluminum 526. I started it over ten years ago but had to shelf it to run the business; now back on it. Hopefully two more years and it'll be done. The goal is to look like a factory original Cuda but lower to the ground and aftermarket wheels.
