Is there any part of the drive seal kit that would allow water into the bilge if it was not working properly? Those o rings on the drive shaft do not seal out any water.
Would that have been something that would have been seen with the drive off? How would I verify if this is the cause? My thought is steering pin assembly as well. That drip looks all too familiar.. Had same issue with a previous boat. Turned out to be bad seal. Was so corroded a new seal wouldn't stay in place.
Only gets worse, not a fun way to start the season. Best of luck.
I got the Nuwave stainless steel pinOrder the aftermarket SS swivel pin not the Merc pin or history will repeat.
