I can’t send a pic as I’m an hour away, but yes, it is the bell like brass sensor on the block. I tried to mess with the wire routing as it was tight, but I couldn’t find a way to change it. If I could turn the “Y” fitting some, it might allow a little slack, but it’s tough to reach with pliers.

My lower unit is due for service. Last year, I had the upper pulled, alignment checked, and everything greased up. How often do you need to pull the upper for maintenance? Freshwater only and summertime only use.

Mine are lithium complex and calcium sulfonate, so should be ok. I will probably still swap the grease out of my gun to the new marine grease. I was able to hopefully get the right seal today and get it fixed up
