    2008 44 Sundancer GFI Locations

Thanks!!! Yes, finally found it. For you 44 owners, take a pencil and draw a line from 6 to the upper right master head cabinet in the parts manual. It is there, hiding behind the toothpaste.

    2008 44 Sundancer GFI Locations

Adding a thread to the GFI- no xmas lights... Specifically, trying to find the "Forward Head GFI" outlet on a 2008 44'. The manual says one is there, but does not point to its location and I cannot find it. If you have a 2008 44' SD and you have found it, please educate this numbskull so I can...

    GFI HELP...no Christmas lights

Yep, pulled it out. (What a pain). All good on that circuit. The salon outlet, the forward cabin outlet, the forward head outlet above the sink (NOT GFI), the aft cabin TV outlet...all dead. Still can't find the forward head GFI. I am going to BE SO red-faced when I finally find this damn...

    GFI HELP...no Christmas lights

...and all outlets are dead that are on that particular circuit (the lamp did not come on). All other outlets on the port side are fine...just that one circuit. It has to be the GFI...but it is missing in action.

    GFI HELP...no Christmas lights

Yep, sure did... the lights work on the starboard plug, but have to unplug the starboard lights to make the port ones come on. All the other outlets are full...yeah, I know, too many lights. But took a 120V lamp around (after verifying the bulb worked) and plugged it into all the outlets that...

    GFI HELP...no Christmas lights

Have checked the port line c/b and it is not tripped. Only the outlets on the Master Head (Forward) GFI circuit are out. The owners manual says there is a GFI plug there...but dang it I can't find the thing. Have looked in all the cabinets and under the sink. I think another 2008 44 SD owner...

No start power for the Westerbeke--ideas?

Thanks for all the help everyone. My friendly neighbor with a 48' SeaRay dove back into the generator cavity with a voltmeter and found the problem. There are two white connectors in the wire bundle between the starboard diesel and the genset. When the mechanic was reattaching the muffler...

No start power for the Westerbeke--ideas?

I have found a 20A red button, a white double throw gangbar (suspect it is for output electricity) and remote switches. The manual says there is a switch to allow local starting, but haven't found it yet. Next step is to take apart the box holding the white switches and see if there is a fuze...

No start power for the Westerbeke--ideas?

Interesting; I have crawled all over that thing and haven't seen it yet. I know it exists because the schematic shows it. Would be nice if their manuals had pictures for us non-mechanical types...

No start power for the Westerbeke--ideas?

Mechanics were on board to do the 1000 hour service on the diesels. I could get no power to any of the switches either on the genny or at the cabin switchboard. Seems like a blown fuse in between the battery and the genny (the schematic seemed to indicate one exists as well). But I sure don't...
