Yes, they drop in, same exact hole pattern. I removed my TV/phone jack to install mine.
I alluded to the dock wiring point. Every 30A/120 down the dock could be on Line1, or Line2 or an equal mix of both (as it probably is or their electrician should be keel hauled) and the boat won't know, or...
Actually I better understood it as I was describing it.
It is 50A PER LEG. They do not clearly state this anywhere that I can find on their website, but the below infers it. Same cord, same boat ends. Different dock ends to meet different dock connectors.
50A @ 240V = 2 x 50A @120V. Both legs...
You do realize that the 50A cord has 2 hot lines, 1 neutral and 1 ground, right? They are designated 120/240, so there'd better be 240 between the 2 hot legs, or that designation is wrong. And 120v from either hot to neutral of course. No different from house wiring.
If the 2 lines are on the...
Nope, didn't have one. It could have been removed before I got it I suppose, or might not have been an option on that low end of a vehicle. I got it in '76.
Mine had a TUBE AM radio, 144 inch six, 2 speed automatic and vacuum wipers. 1962 Falcon Wagon. Drove that thing 100K+ miles. The radio and 2 speed were both replaced early on. The wipers worked better with the 3 speed, but still stopped when pulling away from a light.
I went through a similar situation and talked with my well experienced emergency generator nephew (mostly commercial), as I could not find a straight answer to 50a vs 30a, after extensive research.
He was awoken (onboard) by a neighbor last year at 6am due to smoke at his cord inlets. One of...
OK, had to break out my service manual, the regulator senses manifold vacuum and increases pressure based on load. Now it makes sense. Yet another thing learned here. Thanks.
Gen 6 parts are not hard to find, there is a new version of them readily available. I bought new heads last year, available from tons of places, and I also looked at new shortblocks, too. Beware, there are 2 versions, 3/8" or 7/16" mounting holes for all the fore and aft bolt on accessories. My...
No standard connector (that I know of) will pass thru the windlass, and welding sounds like a bad idea.
Recycle or give it away. I will use mine for rigging/hauling logs at my sawmill. I'll probably find a use for the 200ft of rope, too.
Oh, I see you are local. What marina?
There was no manual with the boat and the ones I found online all specified 5/16 and no mention of others. I will have to go over and take a look at it.
I didn't think about Fawcetts as it's sort of local, but their "Anchor Rodes and Chains" category has neither of them in it, only accessories...
Not enough cruising time to have reliable data, but based on a few runs, 8kn is .6m/g, 11kn is .4m/g and 18kn is .3m/g. 11 is only a slightly raised bow, and 13-14 is impossible to maintain and the bow is as high as the helm. It slips back to 12, every time. We ran up the Chester river with my...
You probably don't eat tomato sandwiches either I bet. Damn, now I want one of them..
It's hard to imagine a life without Bloody Mary's (with Clamato!), V8 and tomato juice! YUM
