Update: Checked compression. Results in cylinder #4 at 0 psi. Going to pull the valve cover and see if my luck has changed. Pray for a valve issue...PLEASE! Reveler's Revenge

After numerous issues with my sea water pump and a few overheats on the gennie I noticed that when it runs now it is spitting oil from the pullies/belts and spraying me in the face. Is it just pissed off at me? :grin: I'm sure it has something to do with the numerous overheats but I'm not sure...

I have an ongoing issue with my port engine. I noticed it was running rough earlier this season so I did some investigating. I ended up changing the plugs, wires, distributor cap and rotor button. I also ran a can of Sea Foam through the oil and treated the port side gas tank with it as well...

Whew!!! That's great news. I'll check at my local parts dealer and see what I can find tomorrow. Guess I'll borrow a laser thermometer from them and check the surface temps of the manifolds while I'm at it...can't hurt.

I have a 2000 4.5 BCGB and had the exact symptoms you are talking about. I initially thought that it was the capacitor. Turns out it was just the spark plugs. I had run bad gas thdough the gennie and gummed up the works. Did the mechanic trace the spark at the plug or the wire? Reveler's Revenge
