Scooper said it best. Let that water leak in a rail fitting, freeze, and expand and crack the fiberglass and you'll see why we cover in the cold states. Besides do you want to launch in the spring only to have to pull it because of a leak that could have been prevented?
Found it up behind the gauges! Now that I found it I called local Searay dealer and after almost swerving off the road was told it was $935.00 plus tax and shipping.
So I have the AM Equipment wipers and motors and they will not park. Both are doing it so guessing its the wiper module however I can't find it under the helm and searay is not sure where else to look as that is where the parts guide says it is. Its a 1733780 and I can't even find a pic online...
My port side is leaking into cabin and one of these is missing and other one is falling apart so pretty sure these are all I need to solve problem. Anyone know what they are called. Email AM equipment but nothing yet
Boats out of the water and damage mostly to two blades and other two just dinged up. Prop at repair shop and everything else is 100%. I also bought a set of Acme props in case shop cant get mine fixed or theres a delay
So after 30 years of going in and out of the river I got a little to close to the shore and tapped bottom. I was at idle and motor did not shut down. Dove on it Saturday and starboard prop is damaged but keel and strut show no marks. Spinning prop under water seems to indicate more resistance...
So here is what I did and it works great. I filled in the end hole of one chock and then added the thumb type screw to it. Obviously you have to weld in a piece of aluminum and tap the hole with the correct threads and treat is so you do not get corrosion from the stainless vs. aluminum. I...
Ok so tackled this job yesterday. Looked at Searay drawings and couch does not need to come out. You can take rear cushion off to access 4 small screws under phone jack and 1 of the long bolts. Then the fun part is getting the other 3 bolts off. Once you loosen the nuts they come right off...
Years ago I searched high and low and my only suggestion is to add a keyword watch on eBay hoping something comes up. Otherwise get rid of it and buy a kcup like I did.
Looking at the Brig Falcon and the Walker Bay 11LTE and both seem like real nice dinghies. Trying to keep LOA as close to 12' 2-4" so I can still walk past it when I stern in a slip with no finger pier.
I am leaning towards the Walker Bay as its a cleaner looking boat without the large...
There’s nothing at fiddlers cove. Around the corner is Kingman yacht center. I love it there and a great little island out front to hang out on and a great restaurant at marina.
Here's the kicker. When I pulled in Sunday the guy behind be John had his boat scheduled to be pulled as one of his tacks that hold his dinghy chocks was loose. Yes they were going to pull the boat. I pushed track back and jumped in water and tightened all 4 nuts in about 5 minutes total...
Finally, I say look, this is a simple fuel pump and tomorrow will be 9 full work days you have had the boat. I just want my boat fixed so I can get it home. He then tells me about how they did me a favor getting my boat in to be fixed. I remind him that never once did I ask for a favor. I...
