So I have been having an issue with my starboard engine for a week or so now. I tracked down a fuel pressure gauge yesterday and tested the pressure in the fuel rail on that engine. It never blipped off zero so I swapped out the guts of the cool fuel unit over the last day. Now I am getting a...
I am still having issues with my starboard engine. It has been intermittently running (poorly) but now it won't even fire. I changed the fuel filters and the fuel came out cloudy. Now I want to make sure that I am actually getting fuel pressure to the fuel rail. Supposedly there is a shrader...
I know how difficult these things are to diagnose over the internet but I am just looking for directions that I might look.
I took the boat over to get gas this weekend. The boat ran fine both on plane and at displacement speeds. I took about 15 minutes to get there however, after fueling, my...
As stated in the title I have a 2000 310 Sundance that is not getting power to the outlet that powers the refrigerator when the boat is on shore power. The fridge runs just fine on battery power and all the other outlets work just fine. The problem is limited to the outlets behind the fridge. I...
This is the first full season using it. So far a snap has pulled out of one of the plastic hold downs and another hold down is tearing where it was sewn in. I get the feeling that this thing is not going to last two seasons. I probably should have gone with a custom canvas...
I have tried searching with no luck.
The bilge pump under the floor of the cabin comes on about every minute for a couple of seconds. I have pulled up the hatch and it is bone dry in there so it must be on some sort of timer.
Is this related to something being turned on on the power panel...
I am trying to figure out how to get one of those danged butane cans in my Kenyon stove.
I drop the can in so that it engages with the tab on the top. I know that it is engaged because I can't turn it in either direction. I then put the black cover on the top and try to turn it to closed...
Got a 1984 17' Montauk with a 90Hp Evinrude yesterday morning. In beautiful condition. Unfortunately it was a feeding frenzy so my negotiating position was weak. Fortunately my brother-in-law was the first person there so I had the final price matching option. Still got a very good deal on an...
Before I splashed this year I swapped out my old Raytheon thru-hull transducer for a Garmin model that could display on my 4010. According to the description, the Garmin transducer is supposed to send depth and temperature data. However, I can't seem to find a way to get the 4010 to display the...
I talked to Rob at New England Power Boat and he said he could put my boat in at any time. He said his docks were in and he had three boats in already. This would be a month or so early. :)
As soon as I get my new transducer in and the hull waxed I am going for it.
It looks like there are a few people that actually have fuel delivered at a cheaper price. I am curious, do they fuel your boat or do you have a storage tank? I am thinking of putting a storage tank in at my dock.
Thanks
I am thinking it might be a good winter vacation for the wife and I and another couple. I looked at the Moorings power rentals but I was curious if any other options are out there.
Just to make it clear. I just want to rent a boat and do what we want not get a charter with a crew.
Thanks much.
I am looking for weather options for my Garmin 4010. It looks like I can get XM Weather but from what I can tell the actual receiver is not sold anymore. The iPhone thread got me thinking can I somehow get weather on my MacBook and broadcast that information over my NMEA network to my 4010? If...
