Boat U.S. will insure you and so will State Farm. Both do full coverage. I found State Farm to be cheaper. Boat U.S. may require a survey where SF didnt
I have twin 3208 turbo 275 hp engines on my 1982 36' sport fisher. They run great and the boat loves to run with no trouble at 2400 rpms all day. The only problems I have experienced are that the oil pans are well known for rotting on the bottom causing leaks. The only main issues I have had...
Not sure about your state but make sure the dealer/broaker includes the sales tax. Here in California I found out the hard way that the sales tax was NOT included in the price. This was my first boat purchase thru a broaker and didnt know they were not required to include taxes. I got a notice...
Real simple and cheap.....use soft scrub with a mild brush. Wet down vinyle apply soft scrub, brush and let sit for a bit. May need to repeat process a couple of times but works great. I used to detail boats after I retired to keep busy and was shown this cheap method years ago.
I had 30 people on my boat for the Xmas parade and my swim step was in the drink. Dunno how to fix your problem. I have 2 friends that have 34' EC and both of their swim steps are in the water with nobody on board
Sheesh.....you and me both. I have the same problem. I have to constantly keep power steering fluid on my flybridge to keep my steering working. I have no fluid leaking on either station or at the stern. I have NO idea where the fluid is going. 3 mechanics shrug their shoulders unable to...
Wow !!! 3K???? Your not looking at Bayliners so try to kick in a few extra bucks to get a better boat. The old saying is "If you spend less now, later you will pay a lot more than if you invested more from the start" Older Sea Rays are built like a brick. I have owned newer boats as well as...
Ruin the boat at full power for at least 20 minutes. Always makes the owner bite his nails but Cat says if it will run hard for that time frame you should be ok engine wise. Mine past with flying colors.
Back on topic.....I hate having children on my boat while underway as they make me very nervous, red drinks are a sin and NOT allowed, black shoes that mark up your deck are always a problem, and ladies that want to wear heals of some sort is nothing but trouble. I never ask for any guest to...
Wow !!! Wonder if it was this guys brother in Huntington Harbor last month. This boat blew up immediately after topping off their tanks at the fuel dock.
With my sport-fisher I always stern in. (36' in a 33' slip) My wife had the same concerns about privacy so to fix the problem I had the rear salon windows tinted then had black canvas screens put on the rear windows as well. I have an electric fireplace/heater and recessed lighting in the salon...
My neighbor has a 1985 34' EC with the same issue of a low swim-step. I have not noticed any problems with him getting up on plane or boat handling with the swim step sitting low. We have made countless trips to the Island in both calm and heavy seas with this boat and it operates and handles...
Well, my friend had some good wisdom when my kids would go nuts down at the boat. He told me "Go out to the garden pick up a rock and rock them to sleep" lol
Thanks for the link. I will find time to get over to that side of the fence and put in my 2 cents. I will also show the wife as I believe she is going to need some way to vent or have some support. As of this time, she has none.
Well hello and welcome!!!! Our boat is also located in Huntington Harbour. What marina are you moored at?? We are in Huntington Harbor Marina at the very end of the harbor off of Warner.
