Customer made camper top as they were not available for the 450. I too would not have "smiley's" in the front curtains but only because they are so danged hard to reach over the dash. Plus I remove my Issinglass in the summer months.
Pretty boat (if I do say so myself).
I went the Garmin route with a 7212 head unit and four GMI-20 multi-function displays. The only thing I kept was the Raymarine autopilot and to be honest, I haven't bothered to install it on the new dash panels. Not really needed on Lake Lanier.
I'll admit to liking the Garmin and its interface. Combined with the Chetco and a NEMA2000 network it gives much more flexibility and the ability to remote monitor.
It's a telling sign that Liam's friends have his memorial sticker on their cars, that they still come by and visit and that they talk about him still.
In particular one of Liam's friends, a young lad with a troubled past of drugs, came by yesterday. He told me he still thinks of Liam and tries...
Our boat came with a bow thruster and I do like having it. But when the battery went flat I spent a season without the BT being available and it is amazing what those big diesels can do. However I still did go out and purchase a new battery (and a dedicated charger) before the next season.
"If money was no object I would not want a boat bigger than what I could handle myself."
Agree completely. I can handle a 450 on my own, especially with a bow thruster. If I had the funds I'd love a 72' Pershing. Preferably one with as many thrusters and gadgets as possible so I could use it...
My son Liam made the local newspaper. Nothing big, but makes me so very proud of him.

I find I have to remember that non-boat owning friends need time to plan. No, you don't need a spare change of clothing, no a tux is not required... Not sure why but maybe when you own a boat the concept of just going to the water requires minimal planning or thought?
Seems the color choices are limited to grey or teak. I want something in the brown hue but not the teak that is currently offered. Are there other options to choose from?
Chez-nous came from the Miami area. I loved it down there but ended up bringing her back to Georgia. No need to have the bottom scraped by a diver every month, bottom paint lasts longer, chrome stays shiny... but I do miss Florida. Oh and please cover your helm when she is left at the dock...
