Upgraded from a 280 to 300. The 280 thread was awesome for info. Now just looking for some of the same stuff. In the 280 whether you ordered the upgraded stereo and speaker option or not, the wiring was hidden in the headliner for a sub . Now in the 300 the subwoofer would go under the helm...
i am in salt water on a mooring and have always used zinc zincs until this year. was there a change to use aluminum zincs? i have always done my research and i buy them from boatzincs.com which i thought up to this year said in salt use zinc. now when you use the're chart it says to use...
Mine did that when I had mine changed. Thoughts it was all those things, thermostat... Changed everything and still did it. Eventually it stopped maybe a break in period?
Could be something else though so be careful

thanks jason. i added the sub today and found the sub wire last week. i just wanted to add a small amp just for the sub and run it off the aft acc1 button so when its not necessery, i can power down the sub and keep the factory amp on for the 4 cockpit speakers which i can run all day without...
Jason78 , how far out of the aft eim did you find the spare wire for 12v power? it says its red and violet but so are others and like you said, alot of tape.
It's a e14 bulb but when you try to order one in led most sites say it's replaced by an e15. I just ordered 2 and its not right. E15 is a smaller base. When you find one post it.

Did you fill the filters with gas? keep turning the ignition on and off to get the fuel pumps to fill the filters and it will eventually get gas to the motors

He should have bought a starter. Antifreeze has anti-corrosion properties that prevent rusting. Don't buy the boat without starting it. I wait for him to replace starter. He might be hiding something.

55 in boston, doing yardwork in shorts. Went down to the boat today and just sat in it under the shrinkwrap waiting for spring. Was probably 65 under the wrap

i did mine because the nipples that normally come out of the heater were rotted right off and the water hose to the motor was looped back to itself to bypass it. not a fun job!!! the biggest thing was that the rear screw which is right at the transom was rusted and stripped. doesnt sound bad...
