I am looking for a replacement engine control unit (ECU) for a 1999 Mercruiser V8 engine with a 7.4L, 454 V8 engine with MEFI III, engine serial number OL312956.

I have a Bravo III drive with a collapsed water hose in the transom housing. I know there are special tools required to change the hose. Can the hose be changed out without removing any other parts of the transom housing? I have the Mercruiser manual, it is not clear on that topic.
