I tried the plastic PEX swivels with PEX clamps and they were too loose in the hose. And if I could get them tight enough, I figured they would just eventually leak again, like the original plastic swivels... So I spent some $$ for metal ones... Anyway, we'll see what happens down the...
A company called "Brewmagic" makes a stainless swivel connector 1/2" Barb X 1/2" FIP that works PERFECT for repairing this problem ($9.00 ea.) Comes with an o-ring though, so you need the correct cone washer, Order from Fresh Water systems (SeaTech cone seal 1/2 NPS), ($.58 ea) I've changed...
I have the same boat and same issue... One small area, maybe 3.5" diameter right under the DC breaker panel in the bilge... Primer and the correct paint seem to be very expensive at first glance... And prepping the area properly is critical based on the tiny little bit I've read. I'm...
Thank you, LD.. Those are the numbers the surveyor gave me... Have not researched to verify... Maybe he was thinking of the non-HO.. I think I’m going to just take it easy and run it and if i’m not happy for some reason, pay the $ and swap at next haul out... Was a little concerned about...
Just bought an ‘05 420 Sundancer. Engines are 8.1 HO Mercs. Boat should be delivered in a couple of weeks - trucking down to South Carolina from Minnesota. Surveyor report mentions “vessel reaches WOT RPM 5100 port, 5000 starboard - at 32.9 mph”
Engine red line RPM’s is 4400 - 4600...
Good luck! I've been searching online for days and no parts manual has a SR P/N. My local dealer is trying to find one at SeaRay, but doesn't sound optimistic. Mine is a '94 330 sundancer.
I did this a couple of years ago... Will have to go back and research the PN's. I have all the bags the bulbs came in so I should be able to find them... I replaced the galley fluorescent with two aftermarket light fixtures and put LED's in them... In the head, I used these really cool flat...
I replaced every bulb on my '94 330 dancer with high quality US made LED's from a South Carolina company called MarineBeam.. Www.marinebeam.com I couldn't be happier... It was expensive though... Over $600... I did all nav's, cockpit and cabin lights... I highly recommend marinebeam...
Does anyone know what size nut is used to hold the lever on the valve stem of an Apollo 1-1/2" seacock...? I've purchased several hoping to find the right size and you know - ended up using a crescent wrench...
Haven't been on the forum in a while and just remembered that I didn't circle back on this and report on my results... Starboard tank leaked. Transferred fuel to port tank. Hauled out boat. Removed stbd engine and generator. Ordered a new tank from the original manufacturer ($1000). My...
This is actual surging... Pegs the sync meter in one direction when I turn left and the other direction when I turn right... Engines rev maybe 250 or 300 rpm... Just had outdrives removed and fully serviced... Just wonder why that happens only at 2100 or so rpm... Perfectly normal...
Just had out drives serviced and bottom painted. Relaunched boat and everything seems normal except engines surge when I am plowing along at 2100 RPM and steer left or right.... Straight ahead, no surge... Any other speed, no surge... Seems like cavitation. Tabs all the way up...
Thanks guys... I am really hoping to find someone who has dealt with this on the 330.... Going in one direction and having to back up and then head in another will end up costing (wasting) thousands... Calls to the local SR dealer as well as SR corporate have only yielded "never heard of a...
