We put the boat back in the water yesterday to check for leaks. The mechanic and I could not find any in engine compartment. How ever their was water coming from the front of the hull. There was water around the shower sump. we have never used the shower on the boat, and did not use ac before...
Thanks you Lazy Daze and 89p270 for your input. My mechanic is now looking and checking for areas of leakage, and hopefully he will be able to pinpoint the area of concern. I am tied up in the election process currently and will not be able to get back to him before Thursday at the earliest...
There is always some water in the bilge. I always thought that was due to the pump location, and the fact that it can not pump any lower than the pump has suction. Correct me if I'm wrong.
I left the boat in the water overnight, after I pumped out, and the bilge stayed at normal level. I am going to look at where the pumps are wired. Since one battery is dead, that was my first thought. The bellows look good. I have it at my mechanics place now and he is across the street from...
I have always had a little water in the bilge around the pump. This past week I had wet carpet in the cabin area and the water in bilge was about 1/2 way up crank pulley. This happened in a weeks time. We had a lot of rain over that time. The cockpit cover was on also, and the boat was moored in...
I have, like a mesh fabric on the bottom of bolster. Don't know if this was standard. I was wondering if that would gain me any access to the screw heads. It may help with bottom screws but not top two. Really starting to think, on site vinyl repair may be way to go.
I knew there was some interior cabin parts to come out. I pretty well considered the closet coming out, but the port hole
removal kind of puts it over the top. Maybe have to think if this is worth the end result. I have a very small cut in the vinyl, less than 3/4 inch. May try to find out if...
I need to remove the side bolster by long lounge seat on Passenger side. I was able to locate 3 nuts and washers by going thru a speaker opening. After removing these, it is still firm in the very forward and aft of the bolster. I removed the side of the area where the battery switch is located...
What kind of straps are the 270 DA owners using. What's the rating on them. I bought a 270 about 3 months ago. Trying to be sure I have the correct ones. Boat weighs about 8500.Any and all help will be greatly appreciated.
After the problem continued, I finally went to a repair shop I trust. They found the weights in the distributor stuck wide open. They cleaned out all the old grease, etc. and put back together. I had them put in on a dyno for an extra charge. They ran it at several different rpms and said it...
Sorry I forgot to send my email. It is crunch11@cinci.rr.com . This is my re-entry into the boating world. Found it at a good price, needed some TLC and time, which I have plenty of. Mainly it will be the wife and I cruising the Ohio River out of Cincinnati.
Thanks for alll your efforts and...
Hello,
I am thinking you had a pic posted of your Seville you used to have with full camper canvas. If I am correct would you mind sending me a copy so I can explain to my canvas guy what I am looking for. How did it work out for you, I am hoping to stay out a little longer at the end of the...
Changed out coil, plugs, wires, anti-siphon valve,[which did have some corrosion build up],and fresh gas. Took it out for a run yesterday in the heat of the day. Boat ran really well, wot 4500 rpm, temp around 170 F. Idle was around 800 rpm and temp dropped down quick. motor sounded like it...
