Sounds great!... Post pictures when its done.....We were afraid of the *soft* Sea Dek as well with both our Huskies.. they tend to get Rambunctious on the boat at times and Love to play and run around...the Corinthian vinyl carpet is great for us.....

We had ours done but we have a hardtop...We absolutely love having one....We used it all the time... Had the pieces made so they All roll up instead of having to remove them all when we left our dock on a hot day... We also had screens built in to allow them all to stay down when we want less...
It cant hurt trying it out... Personally I think it would work out great.. Especially since like you said its on the Border of the V-berth and the Side panels..... Please post pictures of before and after if you do it...
Its possible... I have done throw pillows and they are fine.. I never added the Medium though.. I do Think that's a better way to go as it keeps the Fabric soft.. here is a link .....Please post before and after pictures if you do it...
