Dear Lazy Daze,
Might be wrong but i am almost sure that in my boat the rubrail part that touches the deck is made from metal (aluminium?). I am afraid that when trying to remove it I might damage it...let´s hope for the best!
Is it a bad job only to remove all the screws that hold the rubrail...
Dear Lazy Daze,
Thank you very much for your comment. So much information!
In fact I have just sealed where the water was entering. I am planning to remove the rubrail during summer. But i am not sure if I can do the job by myself...In some places, mostly near the bow, the rubrail is not even...
Dear Pirate Lady,
Thank you very much for your interest and help!
Yesterday, after a long long battle I think that I found the origin of the leak...a really tiny gap in the sealant between rub rail and gelcoat near port side window!! The problem was that water was entering in the cabin distant...
Dear Pirate Lady,
Thank you very much for your help.
I have attached a picture of what I call a side window rain deflector. Sorry if i am not correct!

Dear all,
Thank you very much for all your help.
Went to the boat today. Once again water present in the storage compartment below eletric panel. Pluged the outside of the anchor locker drain hole and filled it with water in the inside. Water level was stable with no water loss. No gelcoat...
Dear all,
Yesterday rained heavily. Went to the boat today. Lot of water inside storage compartment below electric panel. Follow the advice and started to trace the leak. Attached there is a picture where I found wet carpet (red line). Picture refers to cabin where table is screwed to the floor...
Dear Pirate Lady,
Thank you very much for your reply. I have already rebbeded the shore power plug in with butyl. Agree with you that windows are too far forward. Do you know if there is a way to remove the power panel? I am thinking that maybe it will be easier to trace the leak...
Regards.
Dear hughespat57,
Thank you very much for your reply.
Both side windows were removed and reinstalled. All the rubber seals are new.
They were leaking before but now I am sure they are not!

Dear all,
Since last year that I've been trying to find the origin of a rain water leak. No success...
Basically I've rebbeded almost all deck hardware. I am very very frustrated now.
When it rains I have plenty of water on the floor (only on the floor not on any of the vertical walls that limit...
Dear all,
Didn’t resolve transom problem yet. Done trim tabs and trim actuators. Drives inspected and installed.
DWABoat could you please let me know the alternatives?
Thank you very much!
Regards.
Thank you very much Espos4! Both hoses are envolved in old silicone where they penetrate the transom...should I just put new one or there is a right way?
Regards.
Dear all,
Bought a 1990 270DA Sundancer. It has twins 4.3 and alpha 1 gen 1 drives (I think). The question is that I don’t know what is this hose coming from the transom to the drive! It is suposed to be sealed with silicone like it is?
Thanks in advance for your help!
Regards,
Tiago
Dear Stee6043,
Thank you so much for your answer!
In fact nearby the biggest hatch (front one) I can feel that the deck is softer...
This means that reparing is mandatory?
Can i reseal the hatches and wait for the wood to dry?
Again thank you so much...
Regards
