Perfect, my switch at the stern gets bumped all the time, so the lights are left on often. I will change to these lights and and figure out a guard for those switches at the stern.
I have an ‘01 with 7.4’s. I troll primarily for Salmon on Lake Ontario. I’m not able to get down to trolling speed without a bag. I only use one 48” bag and hang it off the side the engine I’m trolling with. It gives you much more control.
Yes, you can buy the gasket at FP. It’s fairly inexpensive - it’s sold by the the foot. I bought 3 feet for each window and had plenty to spare. They have two different profiles, so you need to look at the one you have on your boat now, and match it to either of FP’s.
Hi Mike, Its a Bomar port light that can be purchased from Flounder Pounder. The screws are probably at their max because the gaskets are worn right down and the reason why it's leaking. I just replaced both my portlight gasket and actually had to back off the screws to accommodate the new...
Ok, from the pics, your boat is a little different than mine. The cowling is slightly different and so is the galley. What year is your boat? The problem I have is getting access through the speaker hole - I have sound proofing foam that seems to be tight in there so it doesn’t allow me to get...
You’re a champ - Thanks a ton. I decided to put it off until the season is done.
Where were the screws for the cowling? I just found four on the bottom and one at the top right corner that I can see. Are there others or is the caulking holding it in on the left top corner?
I’m looking for this vent cover that is located on the Starboard bow of the hull. I checked out FP Marine, but can’t seem to find it there. Anyone have an idea where I can find this?
Does anyone have experience in dismantling the cabin door and cowling to replace a Norcold DE-0041 fridge. The door opening is 2” shy from being able to remove my old fridge and replace with the new one.
The cowling has 4 screws on the bottom and one that I can see on top near the track. I...
From what I can see, I think I may have to remove the cowling for lack of a better term that encases the sliding door. I see 4 screws on the bottom and one screw on top corner near the track. As well, I would have to cut all the caulking.
Am I missing anything?
Thanks, but I’m hoping someone has some details on how to remove the door. There is nothing that I can remove from the fridge that would give enough clearance to get it through the door. Even if I removed the compressor, the narrowest I can get the fridge is 23”, the door opening is 21”.
My old DE-0041 fridge bit the biscuit and now I’m replacing it with the new model. Unfortunately, it doesn’t fit through the sliding cabin door. Has anyone else had this situation happen? I’m assuming I will need to remove the cabin door, but don’t want to do it blindly. Any advice is...
