    Sedan Bridge Common Drain Plumbing

First off, thanks to ttmott and rlynch03. With your info, I was able to get my kitchen sink drain to tie directly into the starboard drain. Here are pics of my install: A few caveats: - I used a 2 1/2 inch pipe cutter, but needed small saw to cut about 1cm of PVC that was bonded to...

    Sedan Bridge Common Drain Plumbing

Tom, You were right. I removed the back panel of the freezer and I found the other end of the severed freezer condensate line. It was hidden behind the panel. This line is much too short to ever work properly, and judging by the amount of screws and debris behind the freezer, I imagine it...

Has anyone ever refinished or polished the galley kitchen floor? I have a bunch of shallow depressions and scratches that look to be in the polyurethane layer. Also, I am hoping there is a varnish on the market that is close to what Sea Ray originally installed.

That makes sense. I’m amazed that you were able to get in there and cut 90 degrees. Amazing.

    Sedan Bridge Common Drain Plumbing

Great info. Thanks. Is there a way I could add that port after the two existing T’s. By removing the end cap and replacing it later? I am trying to figure out the easiest path forward. I really appreciate the input. Also, I will need to find the parts needed as well. I imagine I will need...

    Sedan Bridge Common Drain Plumbing

Tom, after further investigation, I found the refrigerator condensate drain AND it was not connected. I’ll be sure to do this now. As for this second white/clear hose, does anyone know if the SubZero freezer has a condensate line as well? I cannot find any connections on the back. Also...

    Sedan Bridge Common Drain Plumbing

Tom et al., I am embarking on my galley common drain procedure and I have a few questions: 1) What is this hose that is detached behind the freezer? Is it supposed to attach to the freezer somewhere? 2) Would it be possible to tie into the common drain with a Y on the end cap? Or add a Y...

I found 2-3 small, but consistent leaks in my manifold today. These have likely been there for years. I now know why the base of the central vac was so rusted! Thank you so much for the solution to fix this Sea Tech brass fitting issue as well. I am so amazed at how much better the boat smells...

Nice faucet. And here are more pics of our blinds. They were already done when we bought the boat and look a lot more modern. Sorry, I cannot find a brand marking. They are chain driven and have two “overlapping” layers for privacy vs letting some sun in. Also, I have been chasing small...

I went with this style: I’m also currently installing an RO system, hence the separate spicket. This faucet design has been a game changer for the functionality of the kitchen.

I’m glad there are so many knowledgeable 500/520 owners who can help the rest of us navigate this efficient fix. I am looking forward to mapping out this process and learning along the way.

    Sedan Bridge Common Drain Plumbing

Wow. Just wow. Thank you so much Tom and Jeremy. I know I am a few years late to the 500/520DB Starboard Common Drain Party, but this may be the year that I finally pull the freezer and fix this Sea Ray design issue. My main concern is finding the correct parts and making the square cuts in...

J, Did you add a separate charging setup as well? Are you running 12V or 24V? Also, what appliances are running off this separate 8D bank?

Great points, Tom. I will look into both of these requirements. And yes, I hope I can find a safe way to build this future setup.

Yes, there is plenty of room anterior to the starboard engine for a separate Lithium bank. And I stress “separate” because you never want to mix LiFeIon and flooded batteries. I would have a separate 24V or 48V charging system and only run the high wattage appliances with it (since my...

Great points Tom. And I have 2 thrusters. That is a ton of current. Ok, back to the drawing board. Maybe leaving the 3 flooded banks alone and adding a separate 4th Lithium battery bank could be the easiest option (to run higher wattage appliances). There is plenty of room anterior to the...

Thanks for the info. Did you also look into upgrading your thruster battery bank to 24V Lithium? This is the only tapping into them with additional appliances would work. I agree, utilizing the current deep cycle flooded batteries would not be efficient.
