Quick update, apparently the harbormaster took care of it, we were down yesterday and again today, and they are neat and tidy. No carts, nothing left on the docks, all clear. We'll see what happens from this point.
Same with the auto industry. The days of the cheap basic commuter car are all but gone. Between government regulations adding bloat, and then realization that they can make a whole lot more money building upscale SUV's abd trucks.
Private marina on Lake Michigan, again the guy is new so I'm trying to be patient, but it's getting old after only a few weeks.
A part of me thought I was being a little harsh, guess not.
Long poat warning, and a bit of a rant. We are in our second year at a new marina this year. Have the same slip we had last year, and we are the oddballs on the dock for sure. Smallest boat by far, the only ones who fish, and younger than most on the dock. That said, we get along with...
Fishing has been on fire up north of the Illinois/Wisconsin border, thats for sure. We are hitting our summer slowdown now, but still have skamania moving in and then Kings to look forward to.
This season has been bizarre for sure. Saturday we came off the lake at 1pm, the wind was just starting to shift to the east before it changed to full blown north. 85 degrees, and the lake was like glass. Yesterday was 60 and raining, and the lake decided to get angry, crossing 15' last night.
I have one for my fish cooler on the boat, and a couple of their soft coolers. My only regret is not buying a bigger one, this one fills up fast. It's outlived any of my other coolers by a long shot, and it sits in the sun on my swim platform all spring summer and fall. I love it because it...
Figured id make a quick update. Made a couple small changes this year. Changed the prop, and fixed my wandering issue at idle with the addition of an autopilot.
Yesterday we had a full load fishing a local tournament. 100 gallons of fuel, 24 gallons of water, box full of fish and ice, all...
Was fantastic weather here on the south end. Had a great day fishing Sunday, and just hanging at the marina today. Marina and especially the ramp were eerily quiet all weekend for how nice the weather was.
My weekender is in its slip, but I can get any and all dimensions you want for the front bimini this week. I have the rear camper canvas in the garage still, but it doesn't sound like you need that one.
Glad it helped. I'll pause on dropping the canvas and opening it all up, but if you do decide to go that route to get your canvas to work, just let me know and I'll get every measurement you could need.
On another note, id love to see a pic of your weekender with the radar arch on it. It's...
It does look like his is modified, but, looking at the pieces, he may be able to get it to factory spec pretty easily to accept his fresh canvas. Below is a snip from 1992.
They are the exact same boat. In 92 Sea Ray changed how they advertise their boats, and added a couple feet to the brochure and the sticker on the side. If you parked them side by side and took off the decals, the only way to differentiate the 250 from the 270 is the HIN.
Edit - GLBT...
Maybe this will help a bit, handwritting on a phone isnt perfect, but i tried to color code it. I can drop the canvas and open it up for any measurements/pictures you may need tomorrow after work as well.
These are taken with the canvas on, so not 100% dead on, but from the top of the rail to the center of the eye for the main hoop, then eye to eye for the short legs.
Forward leg that attaches to the windshield - 35"
Short leg that attaches to back pf windshield - 21.5" collapsed, 27.5"...
