Thank you both! That makes a lot of sense. To restate, currently the dock goes to the rotary switches first and the panel on the side is being used as a switch for the air conditioning circuit. If it were wired correctly, the entry point would be the side panel and then from there it would go...

Went back to the boat and it hasn't tripped for 90 minutes with the converter on. I also looked at the RP light closer and I'm seeing the normal and RP light illuminated (picture attached).

That makes sense! I did a drawing showing what I saw and took some pictures to better explain the drawing. Awesome! Will investigate that too. FYI, that's a way I can trip it consistently but it also trips (after ~15 minutes) if I just leave it alone keeping it on shorepower (with just the A/C main switched on) - don't have to touch the rotary switch to make it trip.

Another update: I did what both of you all recommended and it's still resulting in the dock's GFCI tripping. I first waited to see if it would trip on its own (with the wire disconnected) and it took about 15 minutes before it finally did (only having the 30 AMP A/C main turned on). Second time...

Hi @hughespat57 I have labeled the RP lamp. Should I disconnect just the black (hot / #3 in my pic) wire and try what I did in the video to see if the dock's circuit breaker still trips?

Thanks for the tips! I did measure between those two arrows. I know earlier you mentioned disconnecting the generator neutral. Should I still try or is that not necessary with the measurement I made?

Could I unplug each of the circuits (one at a time) from the neutral bus bar and its hot leg to figure out which circuit is the one causing it to trip?
