Searayman on ebay has the oval windows.
Someone earlier in this thread used aluminum L stock to replace the broken black plastic U channel for the door. If you go that route and want to paint it black, use self etching primer so it adheres to the aluminum well.
I bought my 1991 350 last...
I agree, for the money it makes no sense. However, I think the additional length and floatation as well as the 500ish hp and weight....I think it would be a game changer for this model. It would have to be a project for the love of these boats. Imagine the possibilities with all that open space...
I had a single 260 merc 255 a few years back. Loved the boat! But not enough power.
I’ve been thinking about putting an Armstrong bracket with twin 250 Yamaha outboards on one. The space freed up would be perfect for a gen, ac and fish boxes. I love these older AJ’s.
Is one of my engines reverse rotation? Or is the counter rotation handled by the transmissions? It’s time to reporter and I want to make sure to order the right engines.
I'll verify again on the pump style, the motors are original and have sequential serial numbers.
My boat's carb on the port side (Both Holleys) does leak down and has to be pumped up after sitting between weekends.
I'll make sure the chokes are turned all the way off.
The marine carbs I see...
I didn’t check the bowls. Is the Edlebrock 1410 a marine carb. I also don’t know if the Holleys are marine carbs or not. They looked original but I don’t think that’s possible.
I used to do all the work on my boats and cars myself. These days I mainly pay someone to do the work. I got a MerCruiser fuel pump today and my guy is going to install it in the morning. As much as I have worked on them in the past, I swear it acted just like a fuel pump failure. We’ll know...
We did pump the throttle and saw no fuel. I planned to rebuild them this winter before I found out they're Holleys. Now I'm thinking I may swap Rochesters back instead.
The fuel filters are new (+/-10 hours). My plan was to have the carbs either rebuilt or replaced (With Rochesters) this winter. I don't have a problem with Holley per se, but I do prefer to stay OEM.
We just picked up a 1995 330 DA with 7.4 v drives. When the boat has sat overnight (or small week) the port engine has to be spun over to prime the carburetor, maybe 10 seconds or so, then pump the throttle a few times and starts it. Once it’s running it runs well.
Until yesterday, it was...
The more I run our boat with the single 6.2 BIII the more I like it. I figured it to be a dog but it really performs well. I wonder what it would do with the new 8.2 BIII setup? I doubt we'll ever do that as we are already looking toward larger boats, but this thing would run great (I think)...
I think that's a great idea. Mine has just over 180 hours, the previous owner bought it from the original owners a year ago, started using it heavily, dropped about $7000 in repairs and now we have a GREAT low time 280.
