So I bought a 1981 searay amberjack 25.5 that needed tlc. It cranked and ran when I purchased but it needed newer batteries and I changed out the slave solenoid as well while installing batteries since I was told it was getting harder to start and the old owner was positive the slave sol was going bad. It's a 260 murcrusier. After replacing batteries and slave solenoid I have no crank, no start, no clicking from the starter. Have power to everything else from the lights, fresh water pump bildge etc. I'm going back to the boat tomorrow to change out
the new solenoid to the old one since I knew that was working at least.

Anybodys imput or suggestions would be appreciated.

My 86 270 has a breaker fuses (50 amp?) that looks like red buttons near the front on the engines. Maybe you have fuse that needs to be reset (pushed back in) or another blown fuse somewhere else.

There appears to be a similar fuse in the photo of the engine, except it is near the rear of the engine on the starboard side.

Yeah I tested, and also pushed fuse back in to reset and she's good.
Figured it out, Bad part!! New slave solenoid was junk. Ran jumper wire and and she fired right up! Lol. Thanks guys.
