Maybe it was mechanic speak/shorthand for the flux capacitor. That's a more expensive item than the distributor cap and it would make more sense to clean and reuse the flux cap than the dist cap.

I think Ray is near Tampa if you need yours worked on.

Nah, that’s old tech. Mid 80s if I recall. I’m running on a unit that says “Mr. Fusion” on the side of it.
