Had a good afternoon... Just me, mom, the little one, the Porter Cable and some Meguiers #10 and #17.

The glass is old and scratched, but it came out pretty nice. Won't be long, and we'll be back on the water!

Wow, that looks nice. Does it actually take the scratches out? How long does it last? It does look good though.

We bought the boat in October, and at that point the glass was pretty dirty. I tried doing the glass by hand at the boat, but found it to be too much of a job with all the reaching and places I couldn't really get to. The plan was to hang it in the garage and wait for a nice spring day.

As far as I can tell, the scratches that used to be there are still there. The cleaner and polish did, however, do a fantastic job on the rest of it. Using the random orbital buffer at a low speed setting of 1 really made the job easy. I removed the residue with microfiber cloth. I ran out of clean microfiber and polish, so I'll stock up again tomorrow see how much more I can get done.

I'll have to get back to you later on how long it will last. I'm hoping that I can use mild soap and water and the spray polish (#18) to keep it nice until next winter. I'd like to hear how the plastic and polish hold up for everybody else...

I use Plexus on my eisenglass and love it. I'll bet that would keep your glass going for atleast another year.
