Hi All,

The other day I was at my marina and these guys were using a underwater breathing system to locate a few packing blocks out of the water..

here is a link to the system they were using (took me a little while to find it but I am sure you guys whould have it in the USA as well or something similar/

My question is, Have any of you used such a system or something similar..The guys at the marina said its really easy but since I am not a scuba diver..well I don't want rush into it
.
On the weekend I gave the underneath a bit of a wipe over using a scowra.. the algae comes of really easy but holding ones breath can take it out of you..Hence this sytem..

your thoughts appreciated

Ozzie

If you look at the price of this type of system, compare that to getting certified and then buying a hookah regulator for a standard scuba tank. It should be much less than $1000 US.

Leave your tank on the boat, 30' to 40' of regulator hose and you will be surprised how easy it is to maintain your boats systems under the waterline, and better yet if you are lucky, you can find that hung anchor or lost pair of Costas. IMHO
