Long post. Sorry.
I’m loving the boat this year. It’s running like a top and after the fuel pump replacement and long overdue ignition maintenance (plugs wires cap and rotors) no issues.
Just got back yesterday for a few days up north on the boat with a buddy of mine. Fished Tuesday and hung out at the beach at Beckwith Island. A couple of great meals on the boat at the marina and a few beers too.
I haven’t spent this much time on the boat in years. We have a summer cottage that we knocked down last fall and the new house isn’t ready yet so the boat is home base. A bit tight for long stays but great for a few days. My wife hates salmon fishing so I have gone up with buddies 3 or 4 times for a couple days. When my wife comes up we go hang out at the beach at the under construction house but sleep at the marine. Nice and relaxing with her or with my buddies.
Spending so much time on the boat I decided to do some simple upgrades and minor fixes to make things more livable. I finally replaced the unreliable shore water inlet/regulator so now have proper shore water with proper pressure. Also replaced that horrible Grohe two handle galley tap with a nice Moen single lever with pull out. So much more civilized. Put a Magma pedestal on the swim platform and set up a cutting board shelf with a towel holder that slips under the transom rail and gives me a place to set things while cooking. Put proper bedding in the aft berth. Really settling in now.
