Rudder fit

So I sheered off a rudder. For the direct replacement they want $2500 plus shipping for one. I can get two rudders for $2100. Only issue is they are 1” longer. Mine are 31 1/2” and the new ones are 32 1/2”. Shaft length is 1/2 inch difference. Do you think they would work?

Are the correct rudders not available?

My first thought is that you might have issues getting all the steering gear/controls to go back as they should as the mounting hardware is bolted to the stringers.

If I could buy 2 for $2100, I'd buy the pair and put the extra up for sale to lessen the parts cost.
