Hi everyone,
I have the smart craft for my 2004 SeaRay 460 with Cummins 480ce's. That said, I can't figure out how to get the engine load to show up on NMEA2000. Is it not possible? I have it connected up with the rest of the system and can see almost everything else with exception to boost and load. Thoughts?

A little more info from you would be helpful. I think you're saying you have some new Smartcraft device(s) installed that are providing partial NMEA 2000 data to your navigation displays, yes? If so, what Smartcraft device is installed? When you say "system", what do you mean as in brand/model of navigation equipment?
Boost and load are definitely parameters which can be converted to NMEA 2000 and displayed on navigation devices. May just be a matter of finding where to turn it on for your displays.

Tim, Boost Pressure is embedded in PGN 127488, Engine Load in PGN 127489. You might check in Communications...NMEA 2000...PGN List to see if those PGNs are there. They likely are since both PGNs transmit multiple engine parameters and you wouldn't be able to see other engine data without them.
Did you use the default engine screens when you set up your gauge pages? I'm not sure if the missing parameters are on the defaults. If they aren't, then you have to edit the page, create a gauge/data box and manually select the parameter (which will be on a pick list).

First and foremost, thank you for your reply. I have an "engine" layout on my Garmin 8612xsv that shows a lot of the parameters (coolant temp, rpm, etc) and also when choosing options it had boost. However, they aren't being populated. I'll check and see about your suggestion on the PGN's. Appreciate it!
