Tight Steering

Ken, Sorry to hear of your loss.

Thank you, right when we have come to grips with it we now go out thursday to spread her ashes so it starts to come back. On top of everything else one of my best friend's wife passed away on the 14th and her Celebration of Life was this past Saturday. After a nice morning on the boat we went to attend that event and I was informed I was to perform a toast to over 300 people, on the stage, with a microphone and keep it together. I made it.....barely.

Sounds as though you have had some trying times lately. Nice that you were asked to say some words about one who has touched your lives. Take care

Sorry, a question not an answer, how do you gain access to fill at the helm? I have a similar problem, just bought the boat and do not see how to gain access to the back side of the helm. Thank you! Karl

I think like mine its on top of the steering wheel box, the filler is, very easy if thats it.....

One thing that will help loosen up the hydraulic steering is to take off the steering wheel and put some silicon grease on the bushing. To remove the wheel you pull the cap from the steering wheel center, which exposes a large nut.

then the wheel also be centered ???

Time for an update? In the survey on my boat the other day they said my port rudder shaft is bent. I wish during MY survey they would have caught that!

How many boat dollars is that going to take to fix it?

I don't know yet. I hope they kept it on the hard for the repair or at least fixed it while it was already out!
