TRUMP 2024

Of the more than 1,265 individuals charged since Jan. 6, 2021, department prosecutors have secured more than 718 guilty pleas -- including 213 who pleaded to felonies that include assaults on federal officers, obstructing law enforcement and seditious conspiracy.

These are the charges so far… the Insurrection was the act and doesn’t need to be the charge. But my guess is you know that but ignore it so you can deny it.
Cool story bro…. Yet no insurrection. Thanks for playing.

There was so much “insurrection”, the Jan 6th committee had to delete all of their so called evidence…..LOL!

So an "insurrection" with no guns, to overthrow the most powerful government in history. Yeah right. Keep smoking that crack. And stick to Canada.

Absolute insurrection…The whole world watched. Your lies and denial change nothing!
Did I sleep through something?
When was it officially determined an insurrection?
From last I knew it was a protest for the most part and by some a riot. Well, that is unless one's news source is limited or take what a few polarized elected officials say as factual.

...'the ________ was the act and doesn’t need to be the charge'...

I see how this works, ya just plug in anything you want. I like 'riot', my friend said he thought it should be a 'protest'. West Coast likes 'insurrection', it somehow makes sense to him that people charged with trespassing are 'insurrectionist';)o_O

That's always been an overtly obvious, but seldom made point. Thousands of people who didn't know each other, were not in communication with each other, had no leader, and no plan expected to take over the government by storming into a building with no weapons and screaming. And numerous politicians have referred to that day as the day "we almost lost the country". Absolutely laughable.

Bunker Hill, Lexington, Concord. A quick review of those events will let anyone know what an insurrection is. Yes, there were guns.

Those that refer to Jan 6th as an insurrection demonstrate they do not understand our form of government, military, law enforcement, or history. What happened on Jan 6th never intended to or came even remotely close to toppling the U.S. government.

No doubt - It's odd that they do everything they can because the business of congress was interrupted to call insurrection - yet, when Rep Bowman recessed congress with a false fire alarm he was confused and that was determined a misdemeanor. I know it's a scale thing but for the love of god..... get over it - that dog just doesn't hunt anymore.

Didn’t get by Justice Gorsuch.

That is correct...you call it what you want and I will call it what I want! The courts are free to charge and prosecute what they want! ;)

Well, that is true, West Coast. And at some point we are all just trying to get through life the best we can. Still, the courts are not free to prosecute and charge what they want. The Constitution requires they follow the law. They don't always do that, but we hope the violations get corrected eventually.

But if I could politely offer... words mean things. When we don't agree on definitions, serious problems arise. Like if someone says they are for women's rights, but then considers a dude in a dress a woman, and allows them to occupy women's private spaces... serious problems arise.

That's why calling a riotous protest an insurrection is problematic.

If people go into a bank and yell at the banker for turning down their loans and demand the bank reconsider, that does not mean they attempted to rob the bank, no matter how loudly they yelled, or how many of them yelled. And if some of them commit vandalism by turning over some desks, they should be charged for the related crime(s), but that still does not make them bank robbers.

Words mean things.

You can call a duck a chicken, but a duck is a duck.

As they have said, please stick with Canada. Down here, courts don't charge or prosecute anybody.
