I have a Searay 215 Express cruiser inboard outboard. It is located outside in Hilton Head. Recently, the temps drop a few hours to 27 degrees, then back up to 40 degrees. I am out of town and have not winterized yet. The boat is covered. Will I crack the block, or is this not harsh enough weather to worry about until I return. How much does it cost to winterize something like this?

Thanks
Rick

It takes several hours below freezing to crack a block. You could probably get away with simply draining the block between usage during the winter.
If you are worried, have someone put a trouble light on in the bilge until your return.

Salt water or fresh? your probably ok, if its salt... If I were you I would see if you can get someone to run some AF through it...
