I have an Achilles SPD-4FL with a wood transom. The transom structurally is sound, but it's beginning to show its age. I would ultimately like to paint it to match either of the gray colors of the inflatable, but what is the best method?
Coat with epoxy first to seal the wood, then paint? Tinted epoxy? Just paint with polyurethane paint? Something else? Thank you.
