I'm having a lot of trouble understanding current events. How did all of this happen so quickly? I thought voters through electing their congressional representatives made the decisions in this country. How can a demented old man pass executive actions that totally destroy our society? How can we be led from energy independence and closed borders to this in just a few days?? What does the future hold? Looks like voting will no longer determine who makes decisions. What's going on here?

A 15-year-old girl killed a teacher and teen student in a shooting on Monday at a private Christian school in Madison, Wisconsin, and wounded six others, according to authorities
Natalie Rupnow was identified as the shooter who opened fire inside a study hall inside Abundant Life Christian School, Madison Police Chief Shon Barnes said. Responding officers found Rupnow with a self-inflicted gunshot wound. She died on the way to a hospital

Back to that Idaho killer dude. Can you believe that happened in 2022? Case is supposed to go to Court NEXT AUGUST. Any legal eagles on here? Why would it take 3 years to get to trial in such a heinous murder?
High profile case like that with no eye witnesses you need to develop the evidence. Especially the DNA. Then countless motions. Takes a while.
