Could anyone tell me where the blowers are located on my 98 400db ? I suspect the motors are behind the side vents of the boat. If that be the case how in the world does one get to them ? When the bilge blower switch is turn on, I get a solid green light. Neither of the two bilge blower breakers are tripped off. It's weird because both motors seemingly went down at the same time.
Mounted at bottom of engine room against hull outward from the transmission. A hose takes the air up and out the engine vent.

On my boat they are located outboard side of the transmissions. Inline of the hose, about 4 or 5 inch diameter.

Vitrifrigo dp2600ibd4 fridge was installed 2 years ago in our boat. I played hell getting it to fit. It died a few weeks back. No one locally can service the dang thing. I'm going to buy another one but this will be the last Vitrifrigo I buy if it dies again.

Mine is a year old. Replaced the Norcold which worked great for 17 years. Everyone told me Vitrifigro is the bomb and Norcold sucks now. Go figure.

Did it slowly degrade or did it suddenly fail?

It just failed. It was still trying to cool but doesn't do it very well. I wish I knew more about repairing them.

Hi, I have 1999 Volvo tamd73 410 hp. In our boat. I was running at 2100 rpm and lost about 500 rpm's in both motors. I pushed the throttles back up and the starboard motor went right back up but the port was struggling and blowing black smoke. I dropped both motors to idle and tried again I got the same results. Also tried restarting the port motor. No change. Limped home at 1000 rpm. Does anyone have any thoughts. Thanks, Greg

What does the manufacturer have to say? That is s lot of money to replace for 2 years......so far my refrig is running strong, 3 years!

Years ago, there was a 400db with a retro hardtop and a full glass windshields on yachtworld. I'm sure it served a purpose for the owner, but it killed the look of the boat. Very Frankenstein ish......

I just found this one for sale with a hard top. I would love to see a pictures showing the side view and where all the struts are mounted. From what I can see, it is not too bad looking.

I’ve got a good friend with a hardtop in his 98 400 sedan bridge. I’ll see him next weekend when he relocates to our marina. I’ll take a bunch of detail pics if you like. I may even happen by his boat before then.
Cheers

Gerrit, here are some pics of a 98 400 “Isle Decide”. This was home built by a good friend who did it right. It’s at least 15 years old and it looks new. Harold built it out of wood with ribs and stringers and covered with fiberglass then finished with polyurethane.
Hope this helps. It’s a huge undertaking.

speaking of refrigerators... I have the norcold version and my wife shattered the glass shelf (right above the drawer). Anyone know where I can get a new one?

Problem of the week.
Does anyone know how to get the fuel sender gauge out of the tank? Or how to even get to it... 20002 with the Cummins diesels.

Which tank?

I replaced my starboard sender a few months ago. The sender access was under the starboard sofa on my boat.
