A snip from the weather report earlier today. I guess this might be the definition of impossible to predict.

I understand why they call it a spaghetti model...

She left 18 inches in 2 days in my neighborhood.. The tide pushed up so bad it broke my dock. Flooding real bad in Ft Lauderdale and Miami. Lost half an acre to the lake behind me house...LOL

I opened this thinking you were going to discuss the 4"-7" of snow we are suppose to get today.:(

Yes, we got significant rain and winds yesterday. Happily the dock and boat canvas are OK. Currently the storm is stationary.

My canal is dead calm. Until Thursday I'll bet
I think we will be feeder bands at the worst. BUT, I've been surprised before......

Ollie, it won't snow up here this winter. I bought a new BOSS plow, and Cub Cadet 2 stage snow blower, and an enclosed trailer for our 4 sleds. Guaranteed no snow! :)

I rode it out in the 380 on Key Largo Sunday night. Things were rocking and rolling. The entire marina was underwater due to the storm surge and king tide. Lucky no damage other than one snap that pulled out of the hull. Sunday afternoon the were forecasting the storm to pass west of Key West, Sunday night it rolled over the upper keys.

Eta is taking a turn to the NE and is expected to get over us. Tonight or tomorrow may be time to take the canvas off.

Here is a buoy offshore of Sarasota. I track storms using the buoys as they give wind speed data closer to the ground. Big storms sometimes take them offline, but they're generally available.

There a many buoys to choose from.

We are as ready as we can be. Currently expecting for the storm to come in almost on top of us.

Will watch on camera as long as the cameras work...

It now looks like we may get center-punched in Tampa, but they are forecasting her to slow down from hurricane force by landfall. Not too worried, but we won't be boating out in the bay or ICW for a few days...
