It seems like 99% of the threads on here are dealing with mechanical issues and making sure our boats perform perfectly, maintenance is up to date and how-to's for fixing mechanical things. All of these things are by far the most important things that will ensure a happy boating experience.

How about a thread of all the cool things we've done do our boats which make them unique, more fun to enjoy and adds a little curb appeal. For example, take my wife. She has about zero interest in how important propping a boat is, or EGTs, or a lengthy discussion diagnosing the color of the exhaust coming out of the boat. But if you want talk SeaDek coloring and changing to black canvas, well she is all in. My 16 yr old definitely has an interest in boating and engines but want to really get his attention? Let's talk about adding a multi zone stereo with numerous speakers, amps and subs. Added bonus, LED lights and maybe even rope lighting under the aft seating.

So my point to this is how about we have this thread for everyone to show off the customizations they've done to their boats. Could be adding a stereo, lighting, changing the color scheme of the canvas, under water lights, new dash gauges, etc.

I'm hoping some of you get the reference to the title of the thread. I think it was early-mid 90's MTV had a show "Pimp My Ride" where they would do the craziest things to cars. The work was impressive, the practicality, well, not so much.

I'd start us off but I currently don't have a boat!

All I have done recently is an “all wheel update”...(edit) and if you look behind the steering wheel, I swapped out the joystick for a simpler/cheaper/good looking bow thruster controller...

I put LED strip lights under the galley cabinets. Pretty lame. Stainless anchor count?

This is a must for us this year. I was planning on getting the LED strips and piggybacking on the indirect 12v circuit that lights our cabin steps and some other indrect stuff in the cabin. What did you install and how did you wire it?

The was also a show "MTV Cribs." :)

I found out at dinner tonigh, the admiral wants:

1) kick ass stereo system
2) Kegerator
3) Wine fridge.

Her favorite things -- hanging on the boat listening to good music with a beer or a glass of wine. Going to need a bigger boat. :)

I bought a roll of 12v warm white LED strip with adhesive backing a few years ago and replaced the berth rope lights at each end and had about 6ft left. I think it was this kind. https://www.amazon.com/LEDwholesalers-Flexible-300xSMD3528-Adhesive-2026WW-31K/dp/B007JF2A6G/ref=sr_1_29?dchild=1&keywords=Led+strip+light+12v+white&qid=1613187165&sr=8-29&th=1
I decided to do the under cabinet this year. I tapped into the spot fixture over the sink by drilling a hole under the cabinet up and into the tv cabinet. Had to take off the panel in the cabinet to get access to fish the wires up to the back of the spot. So it comes on with the spot light high on the bulkhead above the AC thermostat. . Here is another picture that shows the spot light. You can also see the lights in the berth at the end too.

Seems like my boat has been m project since I bought it, but I have done most of the upgrades in the cabin. I replace just about all of the interior lighting with LEDs, installed a new stove and did a custom cabinet to replace the old fridge.

Before

After

Exterior work - upgraded cockpit lighting to LED, Installed blue accent lights on arch and under seats, and installed cockpit fridge. But my favorite upgrades are the custom made cockpit table and the digital cabin lock

There are several mfgs and styles, just do online search. I bought a Schmitt & Ongaro Burano Wheel from Hodges Marine. Amazon has them too. As long as the hub size is the same it is very easy to replace, use puller to remove and then position and bolt back together, and you now have a stylish new awesome steering wheel.

Though I bought this during the off season I think this rig will be in the running for my favorite upgrade very soon :)

Looks like Walkerbay to me

Well today I added a WiFi system with pepwave and 4g LTE switch over. Very happy with the results. Now all devices on the boat connect to tHe boats own WiFi and the pepwave connected to either WiFi or LTE.
