I guess I need to stop using that offensive term. You guys seem to equate the term democracy with "Democrat". I will rephrase it with the same meaning and intention:
You are governed by the elected representatives that the majority of the voters voted for, because that was who they wanted. That is the way your constitution and your founding fathers wanted things to work and that is how they are working in California. You may not like it, but the majority of voters like it, and that is perfectly constitutional.

I feel the left has been pandering to extremists much more than the right has. Look at the riots and looting. Heck, they took over whole cities and the dems ordered all law enforcement, etc, to let them be and do what they want. It's my opinion that that mindset has led to the direction society is going now. They were allowed to do whatever they wanted for months with no repercussions. So now they know with Biden in power they can continue that. Police officers are being assasinated at higher rates than ever before. They realize if they don't like something then they cry and protest and the dems give in to them. Similar to a 5 year old throwing a temper tantrum.
Our founders didn't design a flawed system. They designed one that protects the minority from the tyranny of the majority. That the beauty that most people don't understand. States on the other hand have pure democracies -- majority rules. That's why you have states with large cities screwing it up for everyone else in the not so populated areas -- see California, NY, Illinois, etc. States prove the rule that the majority is tyranny and mostly made up of morons.
Why should I be chased out of the state that I was raised and love just because the current majority are soft heads bent on their own destruction in the name of equity? I will just rather wait it out and hope the situation gets so bad that the people will eventually see a better path with conservative leadership in the future. The problem is that the republicans are too set in their ethics to stoop to doing what it takes to win elections. The Dems are perfectly willing to ignore the rules and laws and ethics to move their agenda forward. We just need to start bringing a gun to the knife fight!
Is that what happened in the last election in California? And the one before that? The Dems ignored rules and laws and ethics? No. The state voted in the Governor that the majority wanted. Also confirmed in the recall vote. Its a Democratically governed state. For now.
No. What happens after being beaten like a rug so many times is they disappear for all intents and purposes. The Dems end up with super majorities and destroy the place like a bunch of drunk kids. All the Dems have to do is control the cities with their shenanigans. And if you don’t think they pull chit I have a bridge to sell you.
Who disappears? Republicans? Well that's just sad. Then they get what they deserve if they aren't willing to vote. But I don't believe that is the issue in California.
You're absolutely right. I felt the same way about Massachusetts. Job brought me elsewhere and I feel I gave up the hill. If you love the state, which I completely understand, then fight for it!
