Well anyway, couple quick questions..
Looking for one table pole for the 2001 240 and any info on the molding/gasket for the head compartment main door. Called MM and they don't have anything and were less than helpful.
Fun projects ahead on mine as follows:
Adding the Blue Sea Systems add a battery system (second boat i have done this with), additional battery and all Ancor Marine wiring to fix the older electrical wiring. Moving the Radio and AMP to the second battery. Will have the original battery as a spare(third), but it will not be used at this time. Eventually I will add subs and additional speakers and that will power those.
Adding a Fusion Radio, wired and wireless remotes paired with a JL amp and speakers
Changing the EIM to FP Marines setup with Carling switches and a custom cutout for the wired Fusion remote
(mine is working but the dash was cracked and i don't want to have issues with the Peanut pad later)
SeaDeck!!!
I have already fully rewired the trailer with new wiring and LED lighting, and I repaired the surge brakes, will be adding VE VE posts and lighted tops(we love boating till late at night and it helps getting the boat off the lake)
Eventually we will change out the cup holders to stainless
Replacing the winch strap as well, due in part to age.
Finally, when the weather warms up, I'll give it a full compound, polish and coating. I'll be looking into marine compatible ceramic coatings, but I also remember something about a PTEF based coating. Not sure about the durability of that. I just know wax is a waste of time and requires re application.
Cheers and happy New Year!!
Great To Do list! I have a 2016 240 Sundeck and the original Rockford Fosgate RFX9901 DM2 simply quit working. Local shop says it is toast which apparently is common for this model. The only choice they said is replace possibly with Fusion but of course the old remotes (2) and wiring harness wont work with newer Fusion so they are quoting over $1k installed. I reached out to SeaRay direct to see if they had any original units left I could just replace with same and they supersede the old to new in their system which is putting me in same position. For now, I am buying a bluetooth JBL Extreme 3 which will probably sound better than stock system anyway for under $400. If anyone has any other suggestion on the original unit I am open as it would be good to have one that works in the boat!
