Damn, then how they going to blame Trump? The head of the National Transportation Safety Board said the agency "is working vigorously to understand what caused" the Feb. 3 train derailment in East Palestine, Ohio.
In a rare series of posts on Twitter on Thursday evening, NTSB Chair Jennifer Homendy issued "a message to the community" as well as "a plea to those spreading misinformation."
Homendy then tweeted: "That leads me to my last point: anyone speculating about what happened, didn’t happen, or should've happened is misleading a suffering community -- PLEASE STOP SPREADING MISINFORMATION."
The NTSB chair addressed speculation that a rule on electronically controlled pneumatic (ECP) breaks -- if implemented -- would have prevented the train derailment, which she said was "FALSE."
"The ECP braking rule would've applied ONLY to HIGH HAZARD FLAMMABLE TRAINS. The train that derailed in East Palestine was a MIXED FREIGHT TRAIN containing only 3 placarded Class 3 flammable liquids cars," she tweeted. "This means even if the rule had gone into effect, this train wouldn't have had ECP brakes."
Did Pothole Pete spread some misinformation?

Erin Brokovich posted she will be at the next town hall. I have not and likely will not attend any of their town halls as it is in a different state, etc, even though it's only 12 miles from me.
They are now posting pics of dead raccoons in the area now. There are also videos of senators and citizens disturbing the water in the local streams past the points the railroad said is safe and there are large oil sheens stirring up.
Today the tap water in my town was very cloudy but it looked ok tonight. Not sure if it's related. I had a very sore throat today and the water taster funny so might have just been cause I wasn't feeling well. Dumped out my iced tea due to the taste and drank bottled water today. Gonna go buy about 5-10 cases of bottled water tomorrow
Agreed. I was just at my mothers (4.5 miles from site) and we were saying the same thing. Likely be 5-10 years before we see the effects. East Palestine is a pretty rundown town already and my mother thinks it will be a ghost town soon.I have a feeling the real effects will be found years from now as far as the size of the mess. Hopefully it was not the water that made you feel ill.
Ah, the great conspiracy. They don't want anyone listening to Trump.Aunts boyfriend was at work today. Building was locked down and they were not permitted outside due to Trump being there
lol. I don't know if it was his company that locked them down or the Secret Service or what the deal was. Not sure exactly where his building is in relation to the site. I know he lives 3 blocks from the site and works right near there. Dunno the name of the company he works for but it is a foundryAh, the great conspiracy. They don't want anyone listening to Trump.
I heard they were getting you to sign a release for the $1k they were giving out…..corporations do this shit….. buyer be awareSo local news now is showing a lady that asked the railroad to come in and inspect her home. They showed up with a document for her to sign. After reading it she found it was a document releasing Norfolk Southern from any liability. There was a name for the document. 'Hold Harmless'. She had pictures of it that they showed on TV. They would not give her a copy. Someone contacted Norfolk Southern and they said they 'accidentally' handed out the wrong forms.

I dealt with the NS for 6 years. Besides crash trains, those mf'ers don't do anything by accident. So local news now is showing a lady that asked the railroad to come in and inspect her home. The railcar with the bad axle must have been owned by the railroad. We owned 200 open top gondola cars to transport RR ties. Those fuckers flagged our cars for mandatory repair if a bolt looked like it might come lose. They fix everything that's "wrong" with your car and send you the bill. Meanwhile their cars looked like a rusted out Gremlin. That part isn't unique to the NS though, the Union Pacific was the same way.
