I replaced mine with Attwood Corporation 6556-7 3 Mile LED Transom Lights - $35 from Amazon. Exact fit, including same screw holes.
They are bright, but not obnoxious. They do light up the cabin. We got them so we could see to unload at night, not for ambiance. They make a 1 and 2 mile version if you are concerned. Or better yet, put them on a dimmer. So you used these to replace the interior courtesy lights, correct? I have to imagine they were plenty bright. Coming from my old Ebbtide which designed the lighting to be dim and horrible, I am looking for bright but not 'sunglasses at night' bright.
Thanks,
Mik

Last October on the way to the trailer for winter, 4800 rpm running 46 on GPS About 1/2 fuel and just me. Air and water were cool, which makes a difference. mine slower to around 43-44 in JulyWhat are you guys getting for a top speed?
I'm at 36 MPH by GPS WOT at 4400 - 4600 RPM with
5.7L Merc EFI
Bravo 3
Not sure of prop pitch. Most people seem to be in the 40's I'm feeling slow.
2001 Sundeck 240.
You should EASILY be getting mid-40's on that boat, possibly even mid to upper 40's. That, of course, would be WOT (4,800) in calm conditions with a CLEAN bottom, minimal gear, 1/2 tank of fuel and one person. But even with a few people on board and average gear, somewhere around the mid-40's is still expected. What are you guys getting for a top speed?

One question we have is there was no manual for the head. I was told it has a holding tank but didn't get a introduction on how to use the head. There is no macerator so we will need to have it pumped out. Only got it for the kids to be using in emergency but I have always had a vacu flush system. Can anyone tell me about it? Is it a true holding tank? I do have pressurized water system so I would assume there has to be a tank as I don't have a sink other than for bow and rear spray offs. Seller didn't go over and after looking into I see it's complete different set up.
Any help would be appreciated.
Thanks
FYI, this particular thread is for the older, larger 240SD. While that's not of too much importance for this question, that 240SD WAS available with a VaccuFlush - so it might be confusing. Your boat would have either a simple porta-potty or a porta-potty with a pump out. No fresh water supply, no remote holding tank. Google around for porta-potty... The top section holds water (manually fill it), the bottom (detachable) section is the holding tank. IF you have two lines coming off the back side, then it is a pump out.
Our boat has the port-a-potty with pump out. You have to manually add water to the tank. Port-a-potty works by pumping in a squirt of water with the button on the rear corner, do your business. To flush, pull open drain valve at front, pump a couple times to rinse, and close valve. Instead of going to a marina with a pump out, we found it easier to disconnect the lines and just carry it a toilet and dump it. We only used it for the kids when they were little.New owner of a 2016 240 sundeck. Down graded from a 280 Sundancer so I could trailer with the family.
