Looking for 420 Aft Cabin owners out there that may have experienced problems getting their Cummins 6CTA 450 HP up to 2600 RPM as specified. And/or, what kind of RPMs are you getting and what speeds at WOT and various RPMs.
The best I get on my 2002 is 2500 RPM and 26 knots with average load and only then in excellent wind and sea conditions. I'm wondering if this is a problem. I've had the boat for a year so I am a newby to a boat this size and diesels. A bottom job, prop service, filter changes etc has done nothing.
Any comments would be greatly appreciated.
