I have a 2003 Sundancer with 5.0 engines and smart craft gauges. The port engine gave me a warning several weeks ago saying faulty sensor. I had 1.7 water pressure so after reading the forums I choose to replace the water pressure sensor located on the power steering cooler. The old sensor was...
Interesting. I ordered a new cap and rotor $17.00 shipped to my door. I should have it Wed so Thursday I will go down and replace and check for start. If its a no go I will try the starter motor.
I didn't want to sound stupid so I didn't say all the things I did try.
I swapped:
ecm part no. 864376T05
relays part no. 807057T
ignition coil part no. 392-863704T
None of them made the port engine fire. Fortunately, when I put them back on the stb it still ran. phew!
I am guessing at this point I either have a cracked distributor cap or a bad rotor or both. The boat is a couple of hours from the house so I was wondering if their is any other thing I should check. I hate to check the cap and rotor and still have no luck then what
I tried this on Saturday with no luck. If I understand correctly, the IAC valve controls fuel air mixture and has nothing to do with spark. I tried this before I tested the plugs. After this didn't work I checked the plugs and I was getting no spark.
Thanks for the suggestion.
port engine serial number - OM622441
starboard engine sn - OM622454
The gauges power up and tach does move while cranking. I have no lanyard kill switch. The starboard engine starts fine, the port does not. I did notice that that the gauge on the starboard engine reads zero sea water pressure...
Last time I used the boat (4 weeks ago) everything was fine. This weekend the port engine will crank but not start. 85gal of fresh fuel and a new fuel water sep filter was put on yesterday. A car mechanic friend of mine and I did some investigating today and their is no spark. We verified our...
My trim tab was not up 100% when the boat was lifted out of the water. The flange that mounts to the hull has deflected 15-20 degrees and I have some hydro fluid leaking between the mating surfaces of boat/ram.
I have a 2003 280da. Does anyone know if you can use the A1101A Standard Actuator to replace the Sea Ray A2214.5A Actuator. From what I can tell the only dif is the stoke, 2 1/16 on the Sea Ray and 2 1/2 on the A1101A Standard.
Thanks
Thanks for the input. I actually work in Dahlgren so Colonial Beach could be a good idea. Def beats driving 1h10 back to RIC after work. I would prefer to keep it in a boatell though.
We live in Richmond and are looking at dry storage for the boat. There are multiple options and all have pros and cons. Looking for fishing, places for kids to play, harbor side restaurants, bang for the buck, fuel prices, hours. Boat is currently at Garrett’s but I am a bit annoyed that they...
I have a 2003 280da new to me. This weekend I had no trim indication, no oil pressure indication. The smart craft gauges saved the day as I was able to verify oil pressure. Due to the multiple failures I am guessing its a gauge not a sending unit. Thoughts? and any recommendations on parts...
