I am in a similar position and trying to remove my rear seat bolster and am stumped on removal at the starboard side after it curves around where i can't see. Did you ask the previous owner how he accomplished this?

I own a 2003 55 dancer and am looking to replace the back canvas, which includes 2 large panels with windows and one has the access zipper door and 2 sides panels. Kevin you mention on the raymarine 215 post you had several backing plates made - would you be interested in selling one/ I'm going to be installing GX 2200. which is a 161X65 opening not sure if this is identical to the cut you made.
